Last updated: 31 August 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Hai L’affaire collects, uses and protects personal data when shoppers, visitors and merchants use the platform. It is drafted for an Algerian marketplace and should be reviewed by qualified Algerian counsel before public launch.

Legal basis and Algerian context

Hai L’affaire is designed to comply with Algerian personal data rules, including Law No. 18-07 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data. We also consider consumer protection and e-commerce obligations relevant to online offers and merchant communications.

Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, mobile number, password credentials and Tassili ID link status.
• Merchant data: legal business name, trade information, contact details, branch details, logo, verification evidence and offer history.
• Offer activity: saved deals, compared deals, hot or cold votes, coupon reveal events, print events, alerts and merchant contact clicks.
• Location data: wilaya, commune, approximate location or browser location only when the user chooses to share it.
• Technical data: language choice, cookies, device information, IP address, browser type, security logs and basic analytics.

How we use data

• To operate the marketplace, display relevant offers and maintain customer accounts.
• To link visitor activity to a Tassili ID when the user registers or connects the ID.
• To moderate offers, verify merchants, prevent fraud and protect users.
• To send service messages, alerts or marketing messages only where permitted and with consent where required.
• To meet legal, security, accounting and dispute-handling obligations.

Location privacy

Precise GPS coordinates are not shared with merchants. The platform may use approximate location to rank nearby offers, display distance, or filter by wilaya and commune.

Sharing

We may share necessary data with verified merchants when a user contacts a merchant, redeems an offer, submits a business request, or gives consent. We may also use trusted hosting, security, analytics and communication providers. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We keep account, merchant, transaction, coupon and security records only as long as needed for platform operation, legal compliance, fraud prevention and dispute handling. Operational or obsolete records may be archived or deleted according to retention rules.

User rights

Security

Hai L’affaire uses role-based access, nonces, moderation flows, HTTPS-ready deployment planning and data minimisation. Production launch should include a full security and privacy review.
